Keeping Pace on Climate session at the World Economic Forum

The Keeping Pace on Climate session at the World Economic Forum has just concluded. The panel was made up of some heavyweights of politics and industry, including John F Kerry, @Jennifer Morgan, @Anna Borg, @Helena Siren Gualinga and Jesper Brodin of @Ingka Group. Chaired by Julia Chatterley the session was fascinating and she opened with a paraphrase of John Kerry and the need for “money, money, money” to move the needle and the importance of sincerity. “ there are businesses out there that are simply not walking the walk, even as they enthusiastically talk the talk”

Jesper Brodin captures the problem best, quoting research undertaken by @IKEA 70% of people say they are deeply concerned, but only 3% of people are prepared to pay for the shifts that need to happen.

Having been speaking to investors for the impact fund I am launching, focused on efficiencies in dairying in sub-Saharan Africa, I am looking for that 3%. If you walk the walk, or if you’d like to talk about how your investments can be channelled toward impactful projects, which make a real contribution to achieving the United Nations SDG’s then get in touch.
